I have several older QLC Plus fixture definition files (*.qxf). I tried importing them using the current (4.8) version of QLC Plus, however, it looks like this new version is looking for files with qxfl extensions. Is there a way/trick to use these older files?
Thanks.
Import older QLC definitions?
Rob,
you are mixing two things:
1. fixture definitions (qxf) which stay the same and to import them you just have to copy them to your USER QLC+ folder, see: http://www.qlcplus.org/docs/questionsan ... ser-folder They should work without modifications (though new versions have some extensions to the format, like added Amber or UV primary colors). Once more, you are not supposed to copy them to SYSTEM QLC+ folder, rather to your USER QLC+ folder.
2. fixture list files (qxfl) that allow you to save your inventory with addresses and modes in a single file, that you can import when starting a new project. So instead of either renaming/reusing some older project, or manually adding them all each time, you just import one file http://www.qlcplus.org/docs/fixturemanager.html
