This is a fixture file for the classic Abstract Twister. There were a few versions of this unit but I think (but can't confirm) that the DMX was the same on all of them.

If you do have one of these units note they follow the older standard with the DMX data pins reversed - you can often pick them up from people who think they are broken :)

I've not tried to find GOBO patterns for the gobo/colour wheel as they are quite specific, instead I have used the text descriptions from the manual that are very good.

Hi, is this the manual ?
http://www.sabretechnology.co.uk/pdfs/hptwis.pdf

If so, I see 3 DMX channels, and not 2 as in your def

Unless this is it: http://www.sabretechnology.co.uk/pdfs/allman2.pdf
So the product name is Twister 4CE 250W ?

There are many versions. Sabre Technology did the logic boards (which have been cloned by most of the far east by all accounts)

The label on the back of mine says "4 1CE" - but I have 3 100w version and 2 250w versions

I can assure you they are only 2 DMX channels as I've been actively using them.

Not sure how best to label them.

OK, since there are so many clones around, what do you think about calling this fixture "Abstract Twister 4" and then including 2 modes: "1 CE" (2 channels) and "HP" (3 channels) ?

That would work, sorry I can't test the HP variants for you.
