Hello all!
I bought the American DJ dekker led a couple years ago and had alot of fun with while in Sound active mode but I would like to move on. I tired to make it myself but everytime i load it in QLC+ i comes up as a generic fixture with 1 channel. Please help:)

Hi,
can you attach your fixture definition here, so we can have a look and help you fix it?

Hi,
(I wrote a half page comment only to have it forgotten by this sf forum software... grrr.)
the definition seems to be ok, I propose these small changes:
1. make manufacturer "American DJ" so that it's consistent with other definitions
2. make R/G/B/W/master intensity interval 0-255 instead of 1-255
3. add capability min=0, max=0 name="off" where appropriate (you can make a better name for some, such as "No rotation"
4. in the channel 7 I believe the first 2 "loop"s should be "fade"s. Channel 1 of 2CH mode seems more logical. There's a typo also in the manual.
5. if you drop the numbers from channel names, you can reuse 8CH mode channels #7 and #8 in 2CH mode.
In summary, it seems that definition is OK. Did you copy the definition in the user fixture directory?
http://www.qlcplus.org/docs/questionsan ... ser-folder
Note: not in the system fixture directory!!!
If it's not the case, (i.e. fixture def is in the proper place), then please posts your operating system, version, QLC+ version and a simple qxw file that reproduces the problem
(this might be enough: create new file, add fixture, save and attach here -- if the fixture appears as generic 1 channel).

Updated definition. added file to correct location and imports correctly. I found the fix before i read your post but thank you. hopefully it helps someone else in the future.
what does this mean?
3. add capability min=0, max=0 name="off" where appropriate
I choose to do 1-255 because thats how it was in the manual. I believe all my channels are 1-255.
Mk2 Pro blinks green followed by white constantly.

It is important that list of "possibilities", here called "capabilities" covers the whole 0-255 interval. The list is used by the user to select values (Click&Go), and if 0 is not present, he/she has to go back to slider, which may be inconvenient.
For channel 1: 0 - means "No rotation"
For channel 7: 0 - "off" or "No program"
For channel 8: 0 - "stop"
I'm attaching how simple console looks like without 0 (a.jpg) and with (b.jpg).

Great!
I've added it to git, 4.7.5 will contain it.
Thanks!
