Good morning everyone,

I've been doing some testing with a PAR64S, and discovered that the fixture definition in the library was not quite right.

This is my new fixture definition which seems to work correctly in all cases I could test. Note that the firmware in this fixture seems to be common to several Showtec units, and may well work for almost any PARxxx fixture.

The odd property of this fixture is that channel 4 is not intensity but something that produces a series of rapid colour changes. I know what it is, but the why escapes me for the moment.

Hi Robert,

I notice there are no value ranges for the functions of this fixture set ie. '0-255 Red intensity' or numbers for the strobe channel, for example. Is 0 no strobe and 1 to 255 increasing speed?

Channel 4 - The worst description for a channel in a DMX function list I have ever seen - Full colour! Full colour what?

If saved in the Fixtures under QLC+, this light does not appear in the list even after restart. This could be because of the information missing above or something?

Regards,

Robert

It seems to be working for me. As to the full colour thing that's what the manual says, when you wiggle it you get a series of random colour changes. I have absolutely no idea why.

I'll have another look at the rest.

Fair enough then. Just call it what it's called in the manual and stick it under 'effect' as you have done.

By the way, adding the 0-255 range puts a nice gradient in the Simple Desk when you hover over the top. With out it you only get the colour and a grey box.

OK, I'll revisit it when I have a spare moment. We've got a store room full of odd fixtures so once I have this sorted out I may be able to contribute some more.
