Hi Everyone
Firstly I would like to thank Massimo and his collaborators for such an amazing piece of software.
I am wondering if anyone has tried creating fixture definitions for any of ETC's 7 segment LED theatrical lighting fixtures. (http://www.etcconnect.com/Products/Ligh ... or-Desire/)

Being a newbie at fixture creation for QLC+ and before I embarrass myself by posting a poorly created definition, could anyone have a brief look at my attached fixture definition file to see if I am vaguely on the right track.
I have watched all of Massimo's video tutorials which have been very educational, but is it correct to define a fixture group as (definition) "Intensity" when it is a LED colour but beyond the simple RGB format.
Rather than defining it as (definition (Colour).

I have also attached the data sheet for the fixture.

Any advice would be most appreciated.

Cheers

Richard

I have tested the ETC Selador D40 definition I created and it appears to work using QLC+ and the Enttec DMX USB Pro Mk2 output, apart from the "hue fine" control in "mode 2".
The two definitions of "fine and "coarse" within QLC+ are these applicable to LED control or just motor control eg: a moving head.?

Blimey, are those fittings gold plated or something? Your definitions seem good but at that price I'll never use or get to try one. $1500 for an LED PAR lamp? No wonder theatre prices are so high.

Thanks Boxy
Yes they are a bit, I work for a university and we got a grant for energy efficient LX stock.
The color reproduction is the best I have seen in a LED, you can throw away the lighting gels.
But if you think these are expensive check out the LED Source Four Profile's.
Truly rolls-royce of theater lighting.

All relative I guess. We have an £800 soldering iron at work and the laptop has a built in light sensor for screen calibration. Just not stuff for us amateurs.

That ETC stuff is clearly the nuts though I'll grant you that. Be nice to take one apart and look at the quality inside.

Regarding the definition:

Information on +7 is missing for all modes (I think). That would need extra modes defining giving it 10 in all.
XT Arch: Is this the HSI mode mentioned in the manual? There is also an HSIC mode which adds colour temperature to the mix.

These are mind-blowingly complicated lights to figure out. Best of luck.

Added, thanks
