Multiple Universes

Hi,

im facing some issues working with more than universe:
If I attach an Open DMX USB Interface and send data via univrese 1 it's all good, but using it to send to universe 2 won't work. Neither would two interfaces, one for each universe.

Any ideas?

Hi, are we talking about Raspberry Pi here ?

Yes, indeed.
On my Mac they work without issues.
Both Open USB DMX have different S/N.

Are the devices detected by the Pi ? (can you see them through the web interface ?)
Are you connecting the adapters directly to the Pi or through a powered USB hub ?
The RPi has limited USB ports, as explained in the RPi user guide

I use them via a powered usb hub.
I can see both of them in the web interface, I can distinguish them wirh their S/N. I can use each of them in universe 1. But in universe two neither one works.
I am using the simple desk to test.

OK, thanks for the info.
Are you using the web interface simple desk or the native QLC+ one ?
In the first case it might be a silly web access bug.
I'm going to double check it.

I am using the webacces one.
I'll create some scenes and buttons for the virtual console and test with them.

I have similar isssues with a diy 2port artnet node, though I have to look at what's happening a little further. No issues on mac.

I checked. It's a web access related issue. You can reproduce it on a PC too.
I fixed it.
