Wireless Input Device

I to all.
Currently I'm using QLC+ 4.12.7 on a PC running W7 64bit Pro.
I'm also using Eurolite USB-DMX512Pro Interface Mk2 and Korg NanoControl2 without any Problem.
The Korg NanoControl 2 as Input on Universe 2.
Everything is really working fine.

Now I have a new need and this is why I'm asking you as experts.

I need to add another Input on Universe 3. A wireless device (BlueTooth) in order to be able to change Scene from remote at the beginning of a show when I'm not yet on stage to operate the Korg NanoControl 2.
Since the PC is also connect wireless to a Behringer XR-18 to control mixing, I cannot use a WiFi connection since it is already in use for XR-18.

Any idea?

Many thanks.
Best regards
Paolo

A typical Bluetooth device has a range of max. 10m. So now I question: "Not being present on stage, how will some interact with a show (on QLC+ residing at FOH?) (knowing that there is also music present in the show, which has to be fired)?"

The only decent Bluetooth 'pointer' I know that works in all kinds of conditions is [edit: non-disclosed commercial] product, but now I'm struggling to get that signal to trigger stuff inside QLC+.

Why not use the web interface if a backstage start command is needed? If required, a mixed or deduplicated Wi-Fi network may be set up, but by nature and experience, I'm afraid of everything being wireless in production environments. It __may__ but surely __won't__ work in 99,9% of the cases.

Go wired all the time (!) by all means (!). Put a network feed next to your XR-18 signal cables, add some switches, and for a small venue ~ Voila ;-)

Another option could be to use OSC (running on your phone or tablet).
