Hi folks,

First post.

By chance is a anybody controlling simple on/off commands to a wifi smart plug through QLC+. If so is it through a script or OSC?

I am in the beginning stages of this rabbit hole so any input appreciated. Not looking for hand holding just a starting point.

I am currently using QLC to control LIFX wifi lights (works great) and would prefer to stay in the wireless realm. These plugs would be for lighting effects like turning on a sign on cue.

Thanks folks,

Welcome to the community,

I'm not acquainted with LIFX - I don't understand how you can 'instruct' that protocol in a QLC+ way? Artnet? OSC? OLA? I did not took the time to look it up since LIFX seems time-uncritical (!)

Artnet-For-Lifx-Lan is the translation

Instantaneous light changes, smooth fades. Not perfect but pretty skookum for my needs.

Not really the answer you are looking for, I would just use a DMX switch (relay Box) cheap and easy.

Remember WiFi sucks and I avoid it at all costs
