Good morning from the US!

I'm new to programming lighting fixtures and I'm curious if there's a quickstart guide for setting up an akai APC mkII for changing lighting scenes and controlling lighting sliders. I see lots of documentation about building profiles in QLC+, but in the version I have the profile has already been built out. My akai isn't lighting up but it is showing that there's a midi connection when I press buttons (the little joystick controller comes up). Am I missing something to get the controller fully functional?

Make sure you use your controller in a separate universe. Select the feedback square in the in-output screen.
Your pads will light up if you set a feedback value (<>0).

I was having problems with an APC40 MK2 where the cue list doesn't send the right feedback value to light a button. The VC buttons work as they should. Would putting the controller in a separate universe help? I've been thinking it's a bug in the cue list?

So you are saying that the custom feedback settings for f.i. next cue does not get sent after pressing that button?
To debug, we need a practical case and narrow it to its bare minimum.

I'm surprised to see this question. Does this mean that your AKAI APC is not in a separate universe right now?
Let us know what else you use that Universe for. You could post a screen shot of your Inputs/Outputs Tab.
