Hello everyone.
In these days I happened to have to check the "speed dial" widget of the virtual console via web interface.
Searching on google and in the various forum posts even from 5 years ago I noticed that first of all the speed dial widget is not supported in the web interface and that apparently this is a fixture that has been requested for years.
However, I have noticed that users have found some solutions to get around the problem partly by using the method: "loopback buttons". It's a method that works... Very cumbersome, not very intuitive for users new to the loopback issue. Let's say that you need to get your hands on it for some time before you can get the hang of it and make everything work properly.
All normal.. Especially this situation is critical if you find yourself having to solve this thing at a time when you have little time or there is a lot of pressure and stress.
p.s I specify that the feedback method can be used... But for example, I can't see from the web interface what state the value of e.g. "duration" is. I can use the various keys assigned with the loopback but I can't remotely see the current status of the values.
Let's say I've seen that the "Pad XY" widget is also not supported. But that's relatively less important than the time control factor of chases, animations etc.
I wanted to ask, if there is any news about the support of the "speed dial" widget in the web interface for the versione QLC+ 4?
Example:
Thank you for all the work you do. I await your reply.

Daniel,
Is there a specific case in which you need the web interface to control your timings? Please elaborate.
We can try to look for a solution for your particular case.
I'm under the impression that you are depicting all kinds of PEBCAK problems in your recent posts.

HI. Thank you for your answer.
I am actually reporting many issues in a very concentrated way (7 posts in a row).
This is basically happening because over time using QLC+ I have noted frequent problems that I encountered and now I have managed to dedicate some time to writing these various posts and publishing them here in the forum.
Regarding your specific answer on the speed dial, an example use case would be me placing a laptop controlling lights remotely with me with my cell phone in the audience controlling the QLC+ running on that PC remotely through the Web interface.
Not being able to go back and forth between the audience and the uncomfortable PC station, I need to control everything through my cell phone.
p.s in my case it is not possible to keep the PC near me while I am in the audience.
However, I have a problem (which is what I reported with this post).. I can control the speed dial through the mobile phone (web interface with button linked with speed dial trought loopback method) but I cannot see the current values of the speed dial written down because there doesn't seem to be a way to do it.
That's all.
Thank you for your response.
I await a reply.
A greeting,
Daniel.

Create a blinking button ... a chaser with 2 scenes, on - off, bind this on-scene to a button. Control the tempo by your timing widget. When the on-scene is active, your button should have an orange border (telling you it's called elsewhere).
[edit] I'm apparently too tired to write understandable texts - but I tried to formulate my quick way of dealing with the problem [/edit]

Clear.
Practically instead of seeing the current numerical value, I see visual feedback instead which in my case is fine.
Now I'm going to make a speed dial made up of the various buttons assigned to multiplier, divide, the various tempo presets, the various tempo tap sets and the visual chase button to see the current value.
It will not be a short process to do;
I hope that in the future they will include a speed dial that can also be used with the web remote interface.
Thank you very much for your help.
As soon as I realize this, I will create a video tutorial to share here with you.
Edit: I managed to do the method you told me about. Top.
Greetings,
Daniel.
