Trouble changing scenes after a strobe or sound activated scene

I am new to QLC and have watched the tutorials and have set up my fixtures and created several scenes.

I have set up one scene that uses a strobe channel on some fixtures a separate scene that uses sound control. I have created a chase and added it to the cue list. The scenes advance correctly until I just after I choose a strobe (or sound control) scene. The strobe scene works fine, but when I try and select say a simple color wash scene after the strobe scene, it seems to remain "locked" on the strobe scene. I suspect this is just some setting I need to change, but I can't seem to find it. The only thing that allows me to correctly choose a different scene is exiting the software and opening it again. I appreciate any suggestions.

Welcome to the forum,

1st verify with the DMX monitor which value is sent when you start to strobe. Now this effect will surely be in LTP mode - meaning that you have to instruct this channel to be reset again. Create a scene with only this channel selected and a value of 'open'. Depending on your fixture this might be zero or 5 or ???
Place a button on your VC and try it.
If this works, we'll have to look into your setup how we can integrate this...

On your color wash scenes, enable the strobe channel (assuming the fixture has a separate strobe channel), and set to 0 or whatever is no strobe. Now when you switch to your color wash, it should stop strobing.

Also, it's good practice to create a scene with only the strobe channel enabled for whatever fixtures you want to strobe, and trigger it with a flash button. That way, when you press the flash button, you're strobing, release the flash button, and you're not strobing.
