Hi,
when you locate the fixtures and you choose a color in color widget, either in the basic or full tab, the color selection is not applied but I've to manually change one of the rgb values to update it.
Here I've chosen a pure red in the basic tab, you can see that it show the right values in the full tab but it's not applied:

Same issue with the color picker in the fanning selector, here I've selected a red but it still show a pink color:

After moving one value in the rgb channels the color selection is updated:

the white channel is not taken in account, if it's full it will stay full when you select a color.

I noticed this too and this is tricky to clarify.
The locate functionality prefers the white channel if available.
When you set a RGB color, the white channel is still up so you need to remember to lower it to 0.
This cannot be done automatically, since you could be the one who set the white channel manually on purpose, so resetting it automatically on RGB selection could be unwanted.
At the moment I have no solution to this, unless locate makes a RGB white (which is ugly) rather than pure white.

If you ask my opinion, I'd go for the rgb white for locate, because it will speed up the color management later, as the color widget do not account the white channel.
While we're here, why not introduce an offset for channels? For example it would help to correct the rgb white.
