Q Light Controller+

Hello,

I am not sure the best place to post this, but I am fairly new with QLC+. I am working on doing lights with music similar to like Christmas light shows, Halloween, and various other little things. I have been searching high and low for some way to sync music in QLC+ but I can't find any real good information.

This being said I am trying QLC+ because I was using light jams, but we won't get into the details why I won't purchase it a second time. QLC+ seems promising I just need a bit of hand holding and direction.

Coming from Lightjams, you will have to rethink a lot. For one: QLC+ audio processing isn't quite as rich as LightJams. The concept to radiate intensities / colors etc based on the audio frequency + level is not present in QLC+. The RGB matrix in QLC+ then is way easier to manipulate while busking. Hint: create a matrix, set it to a preset and have a look at the Animation widget on the VC. But this might be a little too advanced for a novice user. Ask if in trouble

I use QLC+ for stage shows where I need to do a lot of manual button pressing. I use XLights for anything that needs synced with music such as a Christmas show. They are both tools that focus on different solutions. Each are great at what they do but pretty limited on doing what the other was meant to do.

Thank you for the quick response! I had been trying to use the Audio Triggers, but I can't get it to work it's like it doesn't detect anything. Whether I try a loopback program or even the microphone I don't see anything happen in the boxes.

Did you enable the audio widget? (go into produce mode and tap the square button in the upper left of the window)
