Trying to leave edit mode on the virtual console

I am new to the program and can't get the console to work; whenever I click on a widget, it tries to drag it around on my screen instead of letting me use it as a functional slider/button etc.

I am continuing to try to figure out what I'm doing wrong, but any advice or links to other forum posts of people who have had this problem would be appreciated.

You need to go into 'produce mode'. The green arrow on the right of your screen. To stop this and go back to edit mode, now press the red square.
