picobeam moving head beginner questions

Dear all, I have some issues trying to control a pico beam 60 moving head with QLC using an enttec open dmx usb.
Using the simple desk I can control both strobe, pan and tilt manually very well. When I change the fader the moving head turns to the desired position.
I tried to create three faders for pan, tilt and strobe in the virtual console.
I created three scenes and linked the corresponding function (and only that) to a fader each in the virtual console.
But the faders don't react - for pan and tilt not at all. For strobe it works to turn it on but then I can't turn off any more.
I use another fader in the console defining the color in parallel so that there's light at all.
Do I need to link them with another parameter maybe?
Sorry, I'm a total beginner, started only a couple of days ago.

Welcome to the forum,

In the beginning, it might be confusing/frustrating sometimes. What you described as a problem is a multitude of all sorts of things that are connected to one another. I guess you will have to study a bit more.
The basic concept of a scene, is to set a look on stage. This scene is called by a chaser or a button.
With a slider in level mode, you could change one channel of a fixture or more fixtures. This is mostly used for intensities, but can also be used for other functions.
If you'd set the fader in playback mode, now the bound scene is influenced by the level of the slider, but that's an advanced feature. https://www.qlcplus.org/docs/html_en_EN/vcslider.html

Make sure nothing is active in Simple Mode because this overrides anything else. (Look for red boxes - then the channel is overruled.)
If your strobe channel can be activated, but not deactivated no more, I guess somewhere in your project there is a priority problem. Look for HTP and LTP principles. https://www.qlcplus.org/docs/html_en_EN/concept.html
Now to be certain, one should check the DMX chart of your fixture and its fixture profile in QLC+.
If you send in your project file, we could have a look at it.
