Hi,
I'm planning to buy in the near future a USB-DMX Interface.
Currently I'm oriente to buy the Eurolite USB-DMX512 Pro mk2.
In the Supprted Hardware/Protocol page there is written Protocol must be forced to "Pro RX/TX"
What does it mean?
Is it something to be set within QLC+?
Please let me know.
In alternative I could buy the Entec Open DMX USB Interface.
Many thanks for your answer.
Best Regards

In the in-output settings, you can define what protocol has to be used for an interface. It is in these settings you select "Pro RX/TX".
For the little difference in price, go PRO. The big difference in the open and pro's is that a pro has a processor onboard which is responsible for the DMX timing. Without this (aka open) it's your computers' processor who is in charge of the composition of the DMX train and it's timing. With the Pro interfaces, your processor is freed of this burden and can do other things. It doesn't make a big difference in a noticeable processor load but it makes a big difference in the outcome. +€40 well spent for life.
