Stobe override when Having a chase

Hi guys,

I have a little problem that i don't find the solution for. I'm a mobile DJ and i have 2 Chauvet Wash FX's. I have programmed everything to the best of my knowledge (some chases with different colors) that all works. Then i've tried to program a strobe and blinder effect as flashbuttons. But i also have a dimmer slider for the wash fx's because they are so bright and i don't get it to work that the strobe and blinder are full on (they also get dimmed by that slider). So the dimmer slider should not effect the strobe and blinder effect without giving up the dim control for the wash fx's. I've tried everything that i can think of but to no succes. Probably i'm doing something wrong.

I've tried to search this forum but i don't seem to find it. I'm very sorry if the question does pop-up on this board. I'm not English native so maybe something got lost in translation...

Thanks in advance.

You could use a SubMaster to separately control the level of your Color Chasers.

Just create a frame and put your Color Scenes or Chasers in that frame. Now create a Slider within that frame and set it up as SubMaster.
Make sure that you put the buttons to launch your Strobe and Blinder in a different Frame (if you want to you can also add a submaster to that frame).

Be aware that the Submaster is restricted by the Master Level of your fixture. If you set your Master Level to 127, your SubMaster will only work from 0 to 127.

if you go to the on-line Help https://www.qlcplus.org/docs/html_en_EN/vcslider.html you will find:
Configuration - Submaster Tab
If the slider is not currently in Submaster mode, all you see is a button telling you to click it to switch to Submaster mode. After you click it, the slider will be set to work as a submaster.

When a slider is set to Submaster mode, it will control the intensity of every other widget in the same frame (please keep in mind that the main Virtual Console area is a frame too !)
The intensity of a widget depends on the type of widget itself and which functionality it controls. A submaster will control the intensity of any QLC+ "light emitting" functionality, either a function or single channel levels.
For example a submaster can control the intensity of a function attached to a button or the channel levels associated to a slider in level mode.
Every widget is controlled by a submaster even if the widget's functionality is not active yet. For example if a submaster is set to 50%, a button pressed afterward will start its associated function with 50% of intensity.

More over: do not include the flash buttons for strobe and blinder inside that frame, because the submaster will limit the intensity level of those too...

Hi guys

I've tried to do what you said and it works like a charme now. It was so obvious but for some kind of strange reason it didn't work the first time i tried it. I have made a brand new virtual console from scratch and it decided to work LOL. So i think i had mistakenly put the slider in another frame. Stupid me! Thanks a million!
