Hi everybody,
I don't understand why the color and gobos channels does'nt work. I have only white color, and I have no gobos. The pan, tilt, shuttle, intensity, work all perfectly.
And it's the same for the both fixtures.
Somebody can help me?
Thank you very much.
Dominique

First step would be to rule out that it is not caused by the fixture (it is a mechanical device, might be that the stepper motors that change colors and Gobos got stuck or even have died).
Get the manual and run a test program from the control panel of the fixture (and check the display for possible error messages).
If the colors and gobo's do change, you're lucky (because those repairs might be expensive).
If they do not change and you bought your fixtures second hand, you now know why they were so cheap.
Next step is using the Easy Desk: set the Dimmer (channel 2 on the MAC in all modes) up and try changing the Color (channel 3 in all modes) and Gobo.
If that does not work you should check your fixture for possible overrides or otherwise your fixture definition (or channel modifiers or .....)
If it works fine in Easy desk, you should check your scenes.
Don't forget to reset the Easy Desk (click the red boxes or otherwise restart QLC) before you continu.

Thank you for your answer,
Actually, it's not a question of physical fixtures. I'm working on learning to use scanners and moving heads, and I will receive those two models soon.
So, I'm in a fictive project, trying to understand how it's work. And in the same time, I'm learning to use the QLC+5 Beta.
So, in the DMX view, I have all the channels, in each mode (1, 2, 3 or 4). In the 2D view (QLC 4 and QLC 5) and in the 3D view (QLC 5), I dont have any color and any gobo.
Maybe I need the fixtures physically connected ?

so, There is something I don't understand: I can't prepare my show, using a 3D visualisation, at home, without being in the theatre with all fixtures ?

You need the fixtures connected to see the actual colors and gobo's, apart from that you can prepare your show with the 2D monitor/DMX View.
Sorry for the misunderstanding.
Be aware that Color Wheels need some time to change from one color to another (certainly if the two colors are not next to each other on the color wheel).

The fixture definition for Martin Mac250+ is incomplete, it misses the data you want to be displayed in 2d preview.
But it should be possible to add it, once you got your units and can see what they actually are doing.
Read the QLC manual, chapter fixture definition editor - it shows how you can define colors or gobo pictures for these channels' individual "steps".
You have to select a step from the channel value list. At the bottom you'll see it's set to "Custom" preset.
Change that to "Color Macro" or "Gobo Macro". additional GUI elements appear and let you choose a color or gobo picture to assign for this "zone", and these will be displayed in the 2d preview in QLC+, as well as when choosing values via Click&Go.
I found a DMX chart for the MAC250+ on the Martin website, but it has no pictures for colors or gobo shapes. So you'll have to find matching gobo images from the existing ones or create new ones, ideally in SVG format. Likewise for the color channel, it calls colors like "Yellow 603" or "Blue 104", but without seeing what these look like I can't cselect a similar one from the color field...
Look at the definition for the MAC250 Krypton to see how it's done, that one has these mappings defined but obviously very different modes and more channels than the 250+.

Thank you for your answer.
When I check the channels of the Mac 250+, everything is in it, all the grade numbers of each color or gobo, or specific fonction. Exactly like described in the Martin's manual. And the same for the Krypton, I checked. And I didn't find any difference in the settings in QLC+5 between 250+ and Krypton.
I'm trying to create a new fixture with all the settings in the 250+ Martin's manual, but I didn't find yet how to put it in the list of the fixtures in QLC+5

Hi everybody,
I'm sorry, I complicated the discussion with two different posts on the same subject. So I prefer to end this spot and go on the other one, in the QLC+ v5 usage forum. Thank you for comprehension. Amitiés. Dominique
