Hello,
My machine seems to be incapable of running the 3D View.
The GPU immediately pegs to 100% usage when I change to the 3D View and all goes the same colour.
Please let me know if you want help troubleshooting this. Personally I'm happy to switch machines but I imagine this might come up for other users.
EDIT: Here is the test workspace:
Kind regards,
Lachie

I, yesterday, experienced the same problem with GPU hitting 100% and rendering my system unresponsive.
Dual screen in 4k resolution.
Hi-end system with dedicated GPU.
Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-1620 v4 @ 3.50GHz 3.50 GHz
16Gb Ram
NVidia Quadro K640
I wonder if we could blend in the frames per second anywhere on screen?
Other test was more successful but GPU at a steady 55%
Dual screen in HD resolution
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz 3.19 GHz
16Gb Ram
NVidia Quadro P1000 4Gb

Interesting it pops up on these dual screen Configs.
Looks like the 3D view is not playing nice with these higher resolutions.
I'll test with 1080 tomorrow.
Cheers
