Using DJ Controller as input

Hello all,
I have a small question. Me being a poor student I don't have the funds for any expensive MIDI controllers, but I do still have a Pioneer DDJ-200 lying around. Since this can send signals to Rekordbox, is it also able to send anything to QLC+? I have tried making a new input channel but it doesn't seem to react when I press a button. Any ideas?
Kind regards,
Arnout
Edit: I was unaware I wasn't using QLC+ 5, so this should have been put in the QLC+ 4 topic. Sorry ;3

All good on the topic - yes I have used these types of controllers before.
Let us know if you have issues with any sliders.

I've moved this topic to QLC+ 4 forum.
https://www.pioneerdj.com/-/media/pione ... ist_e2.pdf contains list of MIDI messages.
You should create an input profile (and once your are satisfied with it, please post it here so Massimo can include it in the distribution for others to use).
Here you'll find how:
https://www.qlcplus.org/docs/html_en_EN ... files.html Massimo's tutorial might be helpful as well:
https://youtu.be/I9bccwcYQpM?t=1047
DDJ sends data on multiple channels, so don't forget to set input channel to 1-16 in MIDI settings.
https://www.qlcplus.org/docs/html_en_EN ... figuration
In case you have problems with some widgets, post here the unfinished profile and let us know which widget is problematic.
You may also check feedbacks in case the LEDs on the controller do not illuminate properly.

Thank you very much. I did not know I should refresh the specific MIDI thing while mashing some buttons, so that's on me. But I would never have figured out that table or that I should put it on channel 1-16, so I'd have needed help anyway. Thank you - you saved me 60 bucks as I was almost gonna buy a Nanokontrol 2 (I still might, the DDJ-200 seems somewhat jittery when adding channels, as if a slight movement in a slider actually controls another channel. But it seems to work well otherwise).
I've finished a basic setup, but haven't added all the SHIFT controls yet. I'll work on it and as a thank you for giving me the info, I'll of course post it here.

EDIT: I lied. The feedback isn't working. Plus, I assigned some buttons to my colours, and all of the sudden it makes a sound when I turn my lights red? It's so strange haha!!
EDIT 2: Apparently I should stop editing my posts that rapidly. The feedback is ticked on the DDJ-200, but it says it's giving feedback through the Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth. That's probably also why it's giving the sound. I don't know how to change this though? I have a screenshot; some of it is in Dutch but most will be intelligible.

This seems like a bug in QLC+. Try to uncheck the feedback and then check it again.

No, doesn't work
. I've even tried a loopback through universe 2, but still the same result.
EDIT: Okay, if I select the Wavetable Synth, it does do feedback. But the buttons don't turn off anymore.

-> @massimo : enumeration problem I reported some time ago? zero-based values +1 leads up to having to select the line in the list +1

No, same issue. Although I can now select DDJ-200 and have it do the feedback, it no longer turns the buttons off. That might be a problem in my virtual console though? Should I enable some option in every function that tells it to turn off the button again if disabled?

What do you disable?
And the button you are referring to is / are the ones on your controller?
In that case, you have to enter 2 values on the VC control. Look for the custom feedback lower and upper values.
