I have been using QLC+ 4 for several months and appreciate it's flexibility and usefulness. I apologize if this is a duplicate question although a quick search of this forum and the online manual, I don't think it's a duplicate.

I'm using the Simple Desk Cue Stack for an upcoming Children's production. I was hoping I could use TouchOSC an an iOS device to control the "Previous Cue" and "Next Cue" buttons remotely. But it's unclear to me if those are map-able to MIDI or OSC inputs. Am I missing something? I know OSC can map to a universe > fader channel and I can do "next page" buttons, but the "next page" is a different command than "next cue".

Specifics:
  • Platform: Mac OS
  • Version: 4.12.6
  • Number of universes used: 2
Thanks in advance,
Jim

Jim, Welcome to the forum,

Simple Desk is as it denotes a very simple desk. You cannot use external inputs to control thing inside Simple Desk. It's more a testing tool than a production tool.
That said, you can also easily create your scenes and cue-stacks (chaser) and then use them with external controls in the Virtual Console.
It's very easy. What you have done now can easily be reproduced with the use of scenes. Try it and report back.

Thank you for the feedback. This makes sense. I'm going to give the alternative a go, although my time window is brief -- probably too optimistic given the circumstances.

You can always copy your looks from what you have already, just make them active one after another in the cuestack and use DMX dump to create scenes from that. Then create a chaser, use the speed control to set it to infinite hold and per-step fade times, add the scenes in right order, add a cuelist widget in virtual console, point it to use that chaser. Shouldn't take all too long.
