Hi All,
Fairly new to lighting but installed the software and connected up a single ADJ VPAR fixture through an ENTTEC Open USB controller. I am successfully able to test the fixture manually. What I'd like to do is create a simple chase and have that motion activated by a microphone attached to the computer. Would appreciate any guidance/tutorials you can provide.

Welcome to the forum.
Build some scenes,
Put them inside a chaser, all steps should have a infinite hold duration,
Place the chaser on to your VC
Add an audio widget
Change the properties of the audio widget to have the chaser to advance.
Go into produce mode and press play on your chaser.

All electric machines work on smoke... when the smoke escapes... they don't work anymore
