Hello everyone. Can anyone please point me in the direction of how to create a master dimmer button that will dim/blackout all lights? Thank you so much!!

Will the Grand Master help you? It is located on the left side of the VC interface. This is not a button but a slider.
If you need a real button, a trick through the loopback magic can help you, or you can use the 'stop all functions' button. Both solutions have other implications. My biggest fear here is the 'total blackout' with no lights left on, on stage / backstage / houselights ...

Blackout: just create a button, and in properties set it to blackout button.

Thank you but when I select blackout it causes my movers to go to home position but I need them to maintain position. I will only use blackout for very brief periods of time and then directly into a dimly lit stage. The GM is not ideal as it takes a lot of motion/effort to slide it down. I did create a slider in susbmaster but same issue. I've been trying to find more info on loopback as I figured that was my solution but am not finding the documentation I need to fully learn the functionality.

I appreciate your help! thank you!

Reading your feedback, I assume you are a theatrical guy?
If that is the case, your workflow will change a little bit. Now you have to define 'groups' (you cannot in QLC+, but in your mind you can).
Create level sliders for your 'groups' on the VC inside a frame. Now you have control about all your lights with sliders. Inside that frame you place a slider in submaster mode. On top of the ability to control all 'groups' intensities, now you can limit them all just by one slider - not affecting EFX, positions, colors, gobos, ...

Thank you GGGss. I'm actually a keyboard player in a band and am developing the VC for someone else to use. I did figure out how to create a slider in submaster mode that will dim all fixtures in my universe but I ultimately want to achieve this with a button so that a single push will blackout the stage. Is this simply just not possible?

I suppose if I had a physical controller, a slider would be sufficient.

Through a loopback channel you could set / unset your submaster... 1 button en- disable ;-)
