Novation Launchkey Mini MK3 as midi controller

Hi everyone,
First of all, a huge thank you to Massimo and everyone else who has contributed to making QLC+ the brilliant utility that it is. I've been a keen user of QLC+ for a while now, purely in the somewhat basic context of setting up automated routines manually through scenes/chasers/shows, and sending the DMX output via Eurolite DMX-512 USB to a set of three Stairville Wild Wash 132 LED RGB DMX fixtures. I've had so much fun with it and it's enabled my band to add an extra bit of spectacle to our live shows.
I recently bought myself a Novation Launchkey Mini MK3 and would love to use it to control QLC+ in some way, for example using the keys or the pads to launch particular scenes / chasers, and the pots to fine-tune some of the settings (for example, strobe light flash frequency on a triggered scene). It's my first venture into using midi controllers in QLC+. I've been trying to follow the tutorials / documentation / forum posts on setting up my Launchkey but keep running into the same problem.
Here's my setup: I've connected my Launchkey, it's showing correctly in the Inputs, and when I move a pot, the red joystick appears, so I know QLC+ is receiving MIDI. However, the red joystick ALSO flashes periodically even when I don't touch anything - I've traced this to MIDI channel 0531, which I believe is the clock function on the Launchkey. I wonder whether this is the cause of the issues that follow (any ideas?).
I create the following Input Profile for my Launchkey And in the Virtual Desk, I create a slider and assign it to one of the channels. After all this, when I move the pots, I don't see any changes to the slider value in the Virtual Desk.
Have I missed anything in the setup, or are there any things I should be doing differently?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
