feedback to Teensy Usb midi controller

Hi. I’m building a 16 button midi foot controller using a Teensy 4 board and so far, sorted the input so have got control of 16 buttons in virtual console. I’m looking at the option of midi feedback so I could switch some LED’s on and off, representing the status of said buttons.
Any specific tips on the QLC side of things, been through the documentation numerous times but not really made much progress as it’s beyond my skill set. Do I need to run the feedback on a separate universe or should it all work on the same universe as my input control.
Am consulting with the Teensy forum to get that side of the puzzle sorted, if it has the capabilities.

Thanks. Dave

After a bit more thought, I may not need feedback at a all.

I’ve setup virtual console with 16 soft buttons in a solo panel so can easily access all that I need with a simple click of a Footswitch. My Teensy is setup so that the switches control corresponding LEDs and follow the solo principle. Only if I do a double press would I toggle a soft button on and off but the corresponding switch led would stay illuminated until I select a different button, at least that way I would have a visual indication on my board which patch I was on

Once the soft buttons are configured to external midi control, there’s no other way to switch them so another reason not to require feedback.

Thanks.
