Q Light Controller+

This is going to be hard to explain, so bear with me...

I recently received two Rockville Rockstrip 252's. They're nice little fixtures. They are LED bars with 8 individual zones/heads, each one containing its own RGB channel. 24 channels in total. This fixture does not have a dimmer/blinder on these zones however, so any control over the brightness needs to be done using the RGB channels which I find annoying. Here's my dilemma: I want to use these to make chase sequences. I originally did this using par cans that had their own shutter channel. I would make a matrix with the par cans, export it to a sequence, and then disable the color control over the par can and only leave the shutter channel control on allowing me to keep color and effect/animation seperate. This was incredibly helpful with programming and busking; in the virtual console I could select the color I wanted, then the chase sequence I wanted, and bam, it would work. Is there a way to do this with these LED bars I have? I've attached my showfile and the fixture profile to this.

Looking at the manual, I see there is a 28ch mode which includes a master dimmer. So the general intensity is solved.
To create a chaser using each field as a separate lamp, you will have to be creative. I suggest using a submaster per field: so 24 sliders in levelcontrol + a slider as submaster in a frame. The chaser itself controls 24 channels in a loopback universe. These channels are bound to the submasters input. A little bit of work but worth it. (To save space, put all these sliders inside its own frame and minimise.)

Edit: Not working. The submasters by themselves work fine and they are controlled by the matrix, but when I select a color using a button(programmed as scenes) the submasters stop working and no longer control the fixtures intensity. I messed around with HTP and LTP to no avail. The workspace is attached if you want to see what I did. Not sure what else to do, did I do something wrong?

A submaster only limits values within the frame it resides AND for functions started inside that frame. This last condition is not met.
So color information for your led bars will have to come through loopback channels... Create an R, G and B channel in loopback and connect these channels to the faders in level-mode for the led bars. I know quite some extra work.

Keep your project tidy by using 1 universe for loopback in and output. (This will assure that nothing will overlap with the real output universe).
