Mi-Light remote via FUTD01

Hello,

For the lights of our theater hall we use lights from Mi-Light from a Dutch supplier.
For normal use the bulbs are controlled with a wireless unit FUT092.
For merging the lights into a show i ordered also a FTD01 module.
But with QLC+ there is a problem, the bulbs don't react on data change they turn all off and sometimes flash a random colour.
When i connect the FTD01 on a regular DMX mixer (only 24 channels) its working correct for the first 5 bulbs (address 1..5 6..10
11..15 16..20) so it seems to be a problem with the data send by QLC+.

To be sure i ordered a second FTD01 in china and with that one all bulbs are working correct wih QLC+
So my supplier send me a second FTD01 but the problems are the same with QLC+.

Inside the 3 units the only difference is the datastamp, the bad ones have stamp 2019-01-16 the good one have stamp 1946 (probably 2019 week 46).

In my opinion this is a firmware mismatch so i contacted mi-light netherlands and from now i'm waiting for response.

My question for this forum: is anyone recognize this behavour on mi-light products in combination with QLC+

I have a similar setup - kindish...
Trying to get it working (me being under pressure) I added an extra universe, got a grip of a 2nd DMX interface and simply extremely lowered DMX bus frequency, adding zero (null) devices before and after the FUTD01, twitching DMX timing, ...
With no time left, I ended up using the remote 8-/
But I still have to figure this out. So exchanging experience is handy.

Fredje,

Can you send the datastamp (inside) of your FTD01?
Also looking at the status led on FTD01: it is blinking a short time on the correct one only for data change for its own channels
in my case d001=zone1: address1..5 zone2:address6..10 etc zone16 address 76..80
On the bad module it is blinking on all data (address1..512)
I have also terminated with a resistor (120 ohm) because the FTD01 has high impedance

Not the best quality but
ScreenHunter_21 Jun. 24 10.15.png
it says XS 2019 01 16 (sourced from ledpaneelgroothandel)
I really have to create some time to mess around with them... maybe Friday

Okay, so you have the same firmware as in those here (from a supplier in holland)
The one i ordered in china was working correct on QLC and has a different time stamp
i'm waiting for a second one i ordered a few weeks ago in china .
i'm not sure if its possible but i'm trying to copy the firmware from the internal (chinese) chip....
So in a few weeks i know more....

Han,

I just tried it for myself ... I cannot report any problems (unless with live fixtures)
With the wireless interface attached to my Enttec pro mk2, I can clearly see the led on the FUD lighting whenever I choose an output channel in simple mode...
I sincerely hope that it's not your interface producing the hick-ups...

When I clear the programmer, the LED on the FUD dies... as expected (reorganizing my environment to get it in 1 picture...)

no output in simple desk: (pay attention on the FUT led = 0)

Having some outputs, the FUT-led lights steadily

Thanks for that info, it could be my interface (FTDI USB clone) but still strange that it will work correct on the chinese FTD01.
I also noticed that the led of FTD01 only is blinking on data changing, if i move fader in simple desk it lit up a short time.
The led of the dutch FTD01 module is always blinking on every channel 1...512...
This week i should receive my second FTD01 from china...

If it helps, if a DMX signal (all but zero values) is present, the led stays on.
During my tries, I noticed however that the FUT can't be addressed beyond address x. (with x unknown). So I presume this interface being somehow not perfect perfect...

Today i received my FUTD01 from china and.... it works, so i m sure that inside those chinese versions is different firmware compared to the dutch (and belgium) ones.
Still waiting for the programmer to copy the firmware..

Sorry the FUTD01 chip was locked (see attached file)
so the only solution is to buy the chines version https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/40010959 ... 4c4dSvBz5K

Hi! I ran into your posts when I was searching help with FUTD01s... I have couple of them and also FUT012 bulbs. I got the impression that FUT012 is same as FUTD04, at least they are sold together in many places.. However, I even after carefully following the instructions, I won't manage to link FUTD01s with them. Has any of you got any tips for me? Or have I got a wrong bulb after all? Thanks.

IMHO the instructions are wrongly translated.
Kill power to the appliance, add power, kill power, add power again, and within 3s press the set button 3 times. Now the light has to glow green for some time.
This is how I learned 4 zones the weekend before...

Hello, i have had the same problems with fut014 bulb, bought in the netherlands wont work but the china one paired with futD01 both same type bulbs. Maybe it is a firmware question as a mentioned here before. Do you know if the "D" in code futDxxx stands for DMX?

Strange question ... look at the interface ... do you see a male 3 pin XLR connection? Yes? Assume DMX input.

To be clear: futd01 is a controller with dmx input and futd02 is an interface for ledstrip controllable through futd01 also bulb futd03 is wireless dmx controllable (but also the china version bulb fut012 fut014 without "D" in the type)
