Anybody got the Asus VT168 touch screen working I have video but touch does not work (USB cable connected)

Yep have been looking round most of the threads talk about using a touch screen in X terminal and QLC is not working in X terminal, so I kind of got stuck

a dmesg output of what happens when you plug the USB cable would help
Preliminary requisite is that it gets mapped to /dev/input/...
