144 LED "Wash Wall" BAR (48x3) - Addressable up to 48 Channels

I just got an LED bar off ebay, it's one of the most popular ones right now. Its a 144 LED bar, 25W, addressable in 3/5/6/12/24/48 Channels.

The fixture is addressed as either 1 single LED, 2 segments, or 8 segments. 24 and 48 channels are the only modes that address the lights with 8 segments. Ideally I'd like to run this fixture in 48 channel mode for full control.

Can somebody assist me with creating a fixture file to run this LED bar in 48 channel mode? I did upload the fixture file I created so far, but it's not addressing the light as an 8*1 LED panel like I believe it should. Seems I'm unable to upload the user manual for the fixture, so I typed out the modes and definitions here. If we need the entire manual in PDF form, I can upload it and add a link:

3 CH MODE (Addresses entire bar as 1 light)
1 RED. 2 GREEN. 3 BLUE.

5 CH MODE (Addresses entire bar as 1 light)
1 RED. 2 GREEN. 3 BLUE. 4 Master Dimmer. 5. (000) No Function (001-005) Sound Control (006-010) No Function (11-255) Strobe with increasing speed

6 CH MODE (Addresses entire bar as 1 light)
1 Master Dimmer. 2 Strobe. 3 Red. 4 Green. 5 Blue. 6 (000-015) No Function (016-255) Auto Program

12 CH MODE (Addresses bar in 2 segments)
1 Master Dimmer. 2 Strobe. 3 Red. 4 Green. 5 Blue. 6 (000-015) No Function (016-255) Auto Program
7 Master Dimmer. 8 Strobe. 9 Red. 10 Green. 11 Blue. 12 (000-015) No Function (016-255) Auto Program

24 CH MODE (Addresses bar in 8 segments)
1 RED. 2 GREEN. 3 BLUE. << SEGMENT 1
4 RED. 5 GREEN. 6 BLUE. << SEGMENT 2
.. Continued pattern
22 RED. 23 GREEN. 24 BLUE. <<SEGMENT 8

48 CH MODE (Addresses bar in 8 segments)
1 Master Dimmer. 2 Strobe. 3 Red. 4 Green. 5 Blue. 6 (000-015) No Function (016-255) Auto Program. << SEGMENT 1
7 Master Dimmer. 8 Strobe. 9 Red. 10 Green. 11 Blue. 12 (000-015) No Function (016-255) Auto Program. << SEGMENT 2
.. Continued Pattern
43 Master Dimmer. 44 Strobe. 45 Red. 46 Green. 47 Blue. 48 (000-015) No Function (016-255) Auto Program. << SEGMENT 8

Have a look:

Put it inside your personal fixtures folder.

The only problem with it is that is hasn't a master dimmer channel - so you will have to use submaster(s).

This also does not get the strobe. The 48 channels are designed as RGB for 16 heads, when that's not the function.

Ill try editing it though and see if I can fix it. It's a good jump off point.

Still on the lookout for the perfect file if anyone has one, but I'll be trying to create my own as I get through this.

Who is talking about a strobe EFX now?
There is not such a thing inside these fixtures.

Create your own strobe ;-)
80ms fade-in & 140ms fade-out gives you a nice incandescent strobe effect...
I mostly combine them in an RGB 'strobe' matrix - surely with the battons in place on stage.

I've found another fixture definition here in my user fixture folder, not sure where I got it from as I don't know such a device; anyway it seems seems to provide a similar mode, except forone or two additional channels at the end.

I think it should be usable, ideally after removing those superfluent channels, possibly adding the other modes and physical parameters, and save under new name ... otherwise you'd have to give your second unit an address +50 from the first one...

Or at least you can check if that works better than your own fixture definition and compare for differences.

Just looking over this on notepad and it looks like it matches.

One thing, on Channel 25, you have strobe skipped. That's why there's 49 channels total. Figured I'd give you a heads up, just fixing these lines and I'm about to try it.

This file has the same problem that my original file does. It only reads as a single light, so RGBMatrix features do not work, it just lights up one segment. I'm trying to get this solved now. Thank you though, this file has the right channels and it sends the proper functions to the light. I just need it to read as 8 LED's like my PAR's do!

I just got it working. For anyone using that comes across this light, if you wish to run it in 24 channels simply set it up as an RGB Panel using the default QLC+ fixture. If you need 48 Channel, this file works just fine. It's only 48 channels, I didn't bother making it work with any other configuration.

It reads as 8 heads, has the strobe features, works in RGBMatrix, everything is solid.
