Behringer BCF 2000 and setting light cues - virtual console

After many trials and tribulations - I managed to get the BCF2000 responding correctly for both input and feedback for virtual console. I have a page 1 that has the levels for all of my lights and it works like a charm. Then what I would like to do is have page 2 be able to address only one light so that I can set a mood then quickly cycle through the 30 lights or so and set each one individually. Currently page 2 does move the sliders but the light stays set on it's dmx levels from page 1. Is this a possibility? My theory is page one sets the general mood. Then I can address each individual light on the subsequent pages then dump to a scene. Thoughts on what I might have missed? I have read every single forum post related to this.
Thanks,
Chad McGee

Your question relates to setting up / teaching in a show, I presume?
Well ... for this to work you will have to change your setup to LTP (Latest Takes Precedence).
On page 1 you set values, on page 2 you want to change those values. As long as the values on page 2 will be lower than those on page 1, the lights won't change. (Typical HTP Highest Takes Precedence)
LTP behavior demands another way of thinking dough. You will notice after you did your setup / teach in - phase...
My suggestion (with the goto-production-step in mind) - if your fixtures have an intensity channel, only use this channel on page 1 to control intensity for all fixtures of the same make.
After dumping settings into scenes, check that intensity channel information is not present (otherwise you won't be able to set intensity later on)

Thank you for the response. So I think from this it really will only work if I treat each fixture independently. ie. page 1 controls fixture 1 page 2 fixture 2 etc. It would be nice to have a basic wash set then change the lights for specific purposes but I guess that's really not something that can be done. Really, I'm looking for the best way to create scenes (physically with actual levels) then dump the values to a scene in a faster and more real time manor than setting all scenes in the functions window. I'm not really looking to use the controller in live productions. I do have an APC board that I use for that just to trigger the cues and make any minor adjustments that might be needed and for calling special effects like a lightening effect chaser. I do have it generally working and I think what you said might have explained some of the randomness of the behavior that does occur with controlling anything after going from page to page. I absolutely love QLC+ just trying to figure out the most efficient and fastest/easiest workflow. I do love being able to use physical sliders rather than a mouse. I wish there was a way to map the sliders for use in the function screen.

I hear you ... with the bigger brother consoles, you can select a group of fixtures and within this selected group, you can set whatever values you like.
The 'next' button, selects the next fixture in that group, allowing you to change its values. These desks have dedicated controls while QLC+ has not.
Watch out for QLC+ v5, this version will answer some of the demands you have. (Quicker teach-in / setup)
