ArtNet vs. QLC+ on Raspberry Pi

I'm trying to figure out the best way to accomplish what (I think) is a simple goal: I'd like to be able to pull up QLC+ on my laptop and control my DMX lighting without anything hooked directly to the laptop, so I have freedom to move it around while I'm working. My question is this: would I be better off setting up some sort of ArtNet node on a Raspberry Pi (or, ideally, a Pine64 -- a similar device -- I have laying around looking for a job) or would it be better to have QLC+ on Raspberry Pi for this job? If I opt for the latter, can a local copy of QLC+ on my laptop still somehow send signals to the Raspberry Pi version of QLC+?

You can set up QLC+ on a Raspberry Pi to simply do ArtNet to USB DMX

So then the version of QLC+ on the computer would communicate with the one on the Raspberry Pi via Art-Net?

I confirm, it works fine !
An output of one universe on the laptop is configured on artnet
On the RPI, the input is connected on artnet and the output on DMX controler and this universe is configured "passtrough"
If the RPI was setup as wifi hotspo, the connection can be established via Wifi.

You could also set up Open Lighting Architecture (OLA) of the Raspberry Pi and configure that to use ArtNET, see this tutorial series https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdVD6WKVFrQ
