Q Light Controller+

Revisiting QLC+ to help out in "Tuna goes to Vegas". We're going to use several LED Tape strips stuck to big "Arrow" signs pointing to a Hotel, Casino and so on. What's the usual way to handle these now? e.g. Just load generic (one DMX address) dimmers for Red, Green and Blue to feed a multi DMX address 12volt relay/decoder. Then set up some chases? Or is there a better way?

Depending on the led technology used ...
'intelligent LED stripes' driven by a Artnet or DMX enabled driver -> create a fixture
Simple LED stripes - kill power supply by relay -> depending on the relay driver : 1 - to x channel generic dimmer 0-255
