So I am looking to see just how big people have built showfiles... and make sure this monster I am building isn't too far afield and has some basis for thinking it's gonna work consistently in production Right now I have:
- 12 steps with 8*64 2812-LEDS (6144), across 48 U (18432 dmx) driven via QLC->ArtNet->raspi:OLAd-OPC->fcserver->fadecandy->Led Strips
- 1 Radio prop with 3 sections of 4x23 WS2811 LEDs (276), across 3 U (828dmx) driven via QLC->ArtNet->SPI Controller->Led Chains
- 20 Moving Heads in 1U (~380dmx)
So I am somewhere around 20k DMX address in active use for this show. I've been testing pretty extensively and as long as all the targets are individually addressed .. everything works and is responsive (even over 802.11 .. NO! broadcast). Has anyone else done anything this big?
