scrolling RGBmatrix

Yes, I am a newbie.
I apologize that this seems simple but is not to me. I have a fixture group that is is 11 wide by 1 high. I want the lights to scroll to the Right (or left or something) in sets of 3 or 4. For example, imagine red, white, blue, black --> scrolling from one side to the other all together. Perhaps it would be repeated over and over. I want to be able to include this and others in a big repeating loop for outside lights at events.
I have looked at the RBGmatrix options and can do a fill from Left to Right. I thought I would just do that with Red, then white, then blue and just have them layer on top of each other. I made some RBG matrix fills, then I made them into sequences. I put the 2 seqences into a Chaser (attached Chaser 24). This didnt' work. I saw that another guy in the forum was clicking buttons to make this happen. I just want to run it all in a loop unattended.
I see how the 2nd sequence just overrides the first, but I don't see how to run them myself.
My questions:
1) How would I do this for patterns of 3,4, or 5 colors?
2) Should I be able to use the script feature to address fixtures in a matrix to set colors or other things? It seems higher level than this.
3) Is there a way to program my own RGBMatrix patterns to add to the download. This seems like the way to go.
Thanks for reading. See my qxw file attached if you want to see details.
Thanks.
