Migrating from Qlab for live band shows

Hi,
I've been using Qlab for some time to run our bands show. We play electronic rock and use a backing track, visual cues, plus DMX to control lights and smoke. I would like to migrate to QLC so I can move away from Mac and use Linux or Windows laptops. I was wondering anyone else uses QLC in a similar way? I used Qlab's cue list to trigger tracks and sometimes used the follow commands to link tracks together. I'm thinking the Cue list or Show features are the ones I need.
I'm experimenting and will come up with a way that works but if anyone has any hint and tips for this kind of setup I'd live to hear them.
Thanks,
