This weekend I have been working on my console build and going back and forth from Qlc+4 and 5, so I am working on making playback stacks. In QLC I was making a frame then adding the features I want for the physical Encoders and buttons I have. So I am trying to add feature as button on, off, flash, slider dimmer (submaster), knob speed and last a cue list.

All that is possible but here is where I run into trouble and a time issue, so I have my three buttons for on, off, flash and I can only add one function to them and the speed knob you have to add each cue that was added to the cue list.

So this is what I am proposing if you have a frame with a cue list with in the frame all feature with in that frame works together, like a submaster for the fader it works with everything within a frame.

One more thing I saw able to add scenes and efx to a cue list.

Kyle,

Ever tried the loopback solution?
Then you 'only' have to attach needed channels / controls to this loopback channel.

It makes your project more complex but if you use distinctive names in the loopback input-profile it is manageble...

The loopback solution would work for my other request/problem, to control fixture parameters, pan, tilt, color, gobo ect. But I don't see how loopback would work for cue stacks or scenes or effects. What I am saying is to drop a cue list or a scene or a effect into a frame and what ever button or fader or speed it will control the properties of that cue list or scene or effect. An less there is something I am missing. Like I said in the original post this is more for 5 because of the drag and drop in 5.
