Hi Guys,
Is there any chance of having a tick box in the "Add RGB Panel" dialogue box to enable the creation of panels made entirely of RGB pixels while not creating virtual fixtures with multiple heads.

I will demonstrate the problem that I have had that this would help with.

I have just run the lights for a wedding reception that included 7 strings of 150 pixel lights hung as fairy lights. I used an Advatek PixLite 4 to control the pixels over E1.31. Using two outputs I had 3 strings on one output and 4 on the other. The PixLite maps the pixels in to full universes so output one, with 3 strings and 450 pixels, had pixels mapped to universe 1, address 1 through to universe 3, address 330 and the other was universe 4 address 1 through to universe 4 address 270. If the RGB matrix worked I would have had the second output follow straight on from the first.

If I tried to use the RGB matrix creation, with 150 X 7 dimensions, I would have had 7 fixtures with 150 heads, each on it's own universe as you cant get two of these fixtures into a universe. What I had to do was create all the pixels in each universe as generic RGB units then add them to a group. This did work but had a number of shortfalls. First, I had to keep track of my total number of pixels as I filled up each universe. Second and more of a problem was that the strings zigzagged across the space and there is no way to set this up in groups with out manually shifting pixels around in the matrix display.

Now I seem to remember having a look at the code and thinking that it should be a fairly easy fix, but I don't have all the necessary skills to sort this.

Thanks.
