hello outthere
sorry for my bad english, but i'll try my best

I have a questian about ArtNet on QLC. since a few month I play with DMX. At first with the Software pc-dimmer, but this doesn't have a ArtNet Output.
from a friend, who gets an old warehouse of traxon lights, i get a "traxon e:cue butler". Well, i think it's an ArtNet->DMX controller. here is a manual from it http://www.edelmat.de/pdf/Anleitung/Man ... Butler.pdf

It's a small controller with ethernet in, and 2 DMX (via RJ45) Outs. 2 DMX512 Universes. This friend told me, that one universe must be free, without using the software vrom e:cue//Traxon... and this software is terrible and i don't want to work in.

so i've connected it to my network. i fount out, that the controller hat the IP adress 192.168.123.136. so i set my PC in this network and i get a ping... the controller must be there.. anywhere
i've build a RJ54->DMX//XLR adapter as it is shown on page 9+10 of the manual. The first 3 pins of the ethernet cable are connectet to the XLR connector. later i've tried to chance the pins, but i don't get any lights from it.

these are the settings, i've made in QLC
on In/Output i've chossen ArtNet with the IP from my PC (192.169.123.10), in the settings i've type on the IP from the controller (.136) and the ArtNet Universe 1.
but if i chance any values, my light doen't do anything.
If i use my Enttec OpenDMX, everything works.

I never used ArtNet befor, so i don't know, whether i use the right settings in QLC

Non exhaustive list of troubleshooting:

* Hardware: Possible signal A+ and B- has to be switched inside your XLR connector. EU vs the rest of the world you know ...
* QLC+ Artnet settings: check for UNIcast (!) don't use broadcast unless you are sure that you have a dumb switch (may not have swarm control)
* Get a second lappie with a sniffer app. Let it have the same address .136 and look for messages coming from .10
* Don't use Wifi (yet) First cable; if succes then try wifi (if needed)
* Settings inside the Artnet interface
