TouchOSC Conflicts, Faders Wiggling

Ask a generic question about the usage of QLC+, not related to a particular operating system

I'm trying to get TouchOSC to work on this system, but it's not going well.

OSX, latest version of QLC.

In the inputs/outputs, there are two OSC entries. One for localhost (1)127.0.0.1 and one for the Mac's IP address (2) on the network. For OSC input, I chose universe 1, option 2. I also checked off feedback on the same OSC line.

For the settings, OSC is listening to input on 192.168.x.x, port 7704 (matches output on iPad) with an output address of 192.168.x.x (same as input), with the output port at 9004 (again, same as ipad.)

There's an OUTPUTS section to the configuration with identical settings, but this section is only active if the Feedback checkbox is checked. Not sure if the settings are right here.

I created a Profile and QLC sees all of the controls on my iPad OSC layout, so everything seems to be mapped correctly. When I Auto Detect a button or fader, the assignments are correct, and I'm seeing the little joystick for incoming connections in the universe.

I stop all functions, make sure QLC is in Operate mode, then move a control on the iPad. The fader in the Virtual Console just goes all over the place. The only thing that it resembles is an infinite MIDI loop, but I can't pin down what's causing it.

The end goal here is to be able to a) control virtual console faders from the iPad, b) transmit fader positions back to the iPad.

Any ideas?

I just thought of something...

I recall reading that the suffix of the port numbers used for transmission should match the universe value. Is that correct?

I'm experiencing a similar thing. Sending osc from Max 8 cause the "stop all functions" to be triggered seemingly every time a new osv message is sent. It makes it look like the fader is all over the place. I am looking for a fix... Having poor knowledge of the app and osc I am not sure if this is a bug or if there's something I'm missing. I follow the instructions, but have different results.
