I was recently suggested to use this rather than a light board that I had to provide me with physical faders. I have one of these that I got for christmas around 2 years ago but I am not familiar with using it for lights. I was playing around and trying to get it to work today but didn't succeed. I really have only a little idea as to what I'm doing with this, so can anyone help me by telling me what to do or pointing me in the right direction with websites/videos?

Thanks

Just a second... we told you that for using your light board you need DMX input, which your uDMX cannot deliver. Then you asked for the simplest way to achieve that and I mentioned MIDI contollers and DMX interfaces supplying input.

Anyways we need more information - I know you're on a Pi, but not much more:

- is this on Massimos image or stock Raspbian with QLC package?

- what is the brand and model of your MIDI controller? https://www.qlcplus.org/docs/html_en_EN ... vices.html

- does a profile exist for it on I/O tab/right side profile tab, and did you select that for the universe you're attaching it to?

(A profile isn't strictly necessary but makes the assigning process more convenient, as it allows to display meaningful Contoller element names like NanoKontrol2/Slider1 etc.)

I just bought Massimo's QLC+ for Raspberry Pi. I downloaded that onto the Pi's micro SD card as directed and now I have Massimo's QLC+ on my Pi. As for the MIDI, all I know is that is is from ICON. I got it for Christmas as I said, so I'm not sure of any other specks. If there is a place to look on the board to find them, I'd be happy to look and tell you what I find. NOw that I see your link, I can't find mine. Does that mean the one I have won't work with the Pi? The last question asked makes no sense to me, so I am sorry that I can't answer that.

I'm not currently with my MIDI, but I can look at things when I get back home later today.

My plan is to have the theatre buy a MIDI for themselves to use anyway, I just wanted to test and see if it would accomplish what I want by using mine. So, if I can't do that but other people have gotten a MIDI working I would be buying a new one anyway, just without testing it first with mine.
