[solved] QLC specialist in the Netherlands to help me out?

Hi all,

Is there a QLC+ specialist in the Netherlands who is willing to help me out with our show? I keep running into a few basic issues I cannot seem to solve. Let me explain briefly what I am looking for.

I have a laptop with QLC+ connected to 3 x Ayra intens, 2 x Geyser P7 and 2 times Stairville Stage Par 12 x 4. So nothing special about that. The laptop is also connected to a Roland SPD-SX sample pad and by firing a sample on the SPD-SX (a backing track) via MIDI a show within QLC+ is fired too. That part works!

Each show is song and contains mostly chasers. But although the chasers work when we test them separately, within a show they behave odd. Especially when they overlap each other. And this is where my knowledge stops. I am not able to debug in dept nor do I have the time to figure out workarounds. If there is a specialist or professional who is willing to help me out that would be great.

Please let me know how I can reach you and what your hourly rate is. And also imnportant, do you have time the next couple of weeks?

Hope to hear from you soon!

Gerard,

I'm afraid you bump into some existing bug in the show-part of QLC+. If I'm remembering right, timings and fades will react strangely.
Did you try sub-chasers within chasers in stead of using the show-part?
Overlapping chasers will have the HTP mechanism to kick in. This means that the highest value is sent out (and maybe not the value you assume having inside your other chaser). For this to work correct you should change your environment to mainly LTP (Latest Takes Precedence) but this implies other nasty stuff (in thinking logically).

I am not sure I know what you mean, so that’s why I asked for a specialist to help me out. (no need to do it for free)

But if there are known bugs, why are they not fixed?

I just hope to find some help.

Perhaps you might like to post your workspace file and identify the areas where the issues are.

It might be something simple and someone may be able to quickly point you in the correct direction.

Hi Mlohrey,

Thank you for your input but in another thread I asked for specific help and so posted my project, fixtures, etc, but no luck. It now seems to be a bug in Showmanager but there might be other ways. So that’s where my question is coming from.

Anyway you could link to that other thread so we don't have to waste time searching for it ?

That said, I don't use QLC's Shows for my lighting work in theater, so I can't comment on your actual issue.

Hi Edogawa,

Thanks but I’m still trying to stick to the question.

Best regards,

Gerard
