Override a channel works only with override values greater then zero

I want to blackout some channels using a slider to override.
I learned the hard way that this has no effect until the "override"
channel value will become > 0, so setting the channel to 1 will do the trick.
BTW, setting a button in the vc to "blackout" has no effect at all !?
thx.

Ever tried a submaster as your 'blackout'?
And the combination of a slider sending out a channel in a loopback universe + the loopback channel bound to a) the submaster b) a level slider inside a frame : now you can adjust and your submaster (inverted) and your level slider. If you'd put a button which controls an other loopback channel and you bind this channel to the en- / disable input of the frame - you can change the way the loopback slider works. Without the frame enabled you only do submastering. With the frame enabled you do submaster & override level.
Maybe I should make you an example...

Maybe I should make you an example...
A picture is worth a thousand words...but I still can´t understand why
the override works only within the range 1 ... 255 instead of 0 ... 255
Is your proposal to modify the loopback device´s channel modifier ?
I´m not sure if I understand your post correctly since english is
not my native language.
Thx
PS.: the issue I´m facing is not bound to "blackout" but more generic in respect to rgb for example...
Maybe I should change the threads topic...
