I'm very new to DMX lighting and enjoying learning QLC+. It has a bit of a learning curve but I am starting to get the hang of it. I want to see if there is a better way to setup the following scenario.

I have a light with 4 heads, we'll call the heads A, B, C, D. I setup the following functions.

f1- A (White), B (White), C (White), D (White)
f2- A (Red) , B (White), C (White), D (White)
f3- A (Red) , B (Red) , C (White), D (White)
f4- A (Red) , B (Red) , C (Red) , D (White)
f5- A (Red) , B (Red) , C (Red) , D (Red)

I want to set it up so that when I hit a button on my Novation LaunchPad, it goes from one function to the next. This will allow me to press the button in time with the music our band plays and have the lights step from all white to all red.

Currently I am accomplishing this by setting up a chaser with these 5 functions then setting the duration to infinity. In the virtual console I setup a cue list with this chaser and assign the LaunchPad button to the next cue button. This is working but it seems really clunky, plus when I am trying to setup multiple patterns like Red to Green, Green to Blue, etc, and assigning them each to different buttons, it is cluttering the virtual console because I am making all these cue lists. Is there a better way to be doing this? I sort of feel like I am missing something. I'd really like an easier way to have one button move through different functions.

Looking forward to any responses,
Andrew V. Romero

Just a suggestion:

* Make use of the pages possibility in the frame on your VC - you could en-/disable them in function of what you are playing at that time? Eg per song a page
* Use the tempo possibility - you tap your tempo in and your chaser goes by itself...
* ...
It all depends how you want to interact with your lights...
