Generic fixture starting on channel 5 makes multiple sliders react in the simple desk. Is this normal?

Hello everybody,

I'm a new user to qlc+ and dmx in general. I followed all the video tutorials and searched the forums but I couldn't find an answer to my question (maybe I searched with the wrong keywords).
I have the following situation:
  • open qlc+ 4.12.0 on a my ubuntu studio pc.
  • Universe 1 is active with artnet Output mode.
  • Add a generic fixture starting on address 5 and I set the amount of channels to 5.
  • Then I go to the Simple Desk and when I change the slider on channel 5, the slider on channel 9 moves too.
The 2 faders working at once, is this normal behaviour, a bug or am I completely missing something?

Kind regards,

Drew

Definitely a bug ! Thanks for reporting.
I just fixed this on GIT. Gonna trigger OBS builds.

Hi,
I have the same problem. The slider 5 follows the slider 3. And only the DMX out 5 has the right value. See the picture above.
There is another 3 channels dimmer on addresses 7, 8 and 9. It is noted Spots. And for this one every slider worked the good DMX channel. Same for the other dimmers.
I have QLC+ version 4.12.0 on Windows 7 Pro SP1 and 32 bit on a DELL Latitude. Seeing the problem, I went back to zero to register my device group. Sameproblem.
So, I install QLC+ version 4.12.0 on another computer running Linux Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. Exactly the same problem.
I split my 3-way dimmer in 3 1-way dimmers but then the dimmers are no longer contiguous. There is one completely left, one a full right and one is left in the right place. Maybe move the dimmers in the console "simple desk"?
Thank you for telling me when the problem will be fixed
And also a great thank for the ergonomy of this version 4
