Clock usage in Virtual Console

Hi

I have a problem and maybe it is just me approaching wrongly to this tool.
I am beginner of QLC use, approaching because of I look for a nice alternative to Freestyler dmx and this sounds to be the best.

I specifically started tolook QLC cause actually I needed to schedule some scenes and chases in my restaurant, like in morning a specific scene, at 12 a chase in loop, dinner time a different chase, and for the closing time a blackout scene.

I then generated that set of scenes for testing, actually I just did all offline mode with a simple 6 ch dimmer just to understand if the system responds asI expected, I put a clock in virtual console and inside a set made of one chase, then one scene, then one chase, all created in LOOP mode cause of I need that they will repeat for certain timebefore move the next step.

I also alternatively tried creating 3 different clocks in a time sequence way, i.e. 10.53.00 10.54.00 10.55.00 ,but the result in both way is that when the second step starts is not covering the step 1 but adding in a MSB way the values of channels, and same way on step 3.

I need to schedule that when the second chase or sequence starts, the first stop, when third starts the second stops and so on,one at time.

What I am doing wrong or what kind of solution can you suggest me?

That's how it seems to work - the Clock control on the Virtual Console starts scenes but doesn't stop them. (QLC+ 4.12.0 on Linux here, if it matters.)

I've attached an example.

To do what you want you can use a Script to start the Chaser, but you have to include a wait command in the script for the length of time you want that Chaser to run for. I've set all mine to 10 seconds for quicker testing! The Script function only needs two lines, it's very simple. I've included them in the example.

You'll have to change the start times in the Clock to test this of course.

It might be nice if the Clock control had an end time for each function as well as a start time? That would probably be most flexible.

Yes it would be very nice if can have a stop time as well.
