CLI or API for control via FHEM?

Hi,
I found this project and I am really impressed because I am searching for a Raspberry Version and that looks like the onliest usable DMX Controller for Raspberry.
I will not do so much but I have a lot of DMX controlled LEDs at home and I am using the free home automation system called FHEM. Currently I am using the DMX4ALL Adapter with an own module for FHEM. Selecting single color is working find but I would like to use animations like fading etc. and that's not possible with FHEM because it will be produce high load on FHEM. So it will be much better to use a DMX Software like "DMXControl" which can be controlled via CLI/SSH/telnet. That's working but DMXControl is not running on raspberry. So at the end, my question is, is it possible to control the QLC+ via CLI/Telnet/HTTP so that I can create a FHEM modul for QLC+? Is there an API documentation available?
I never used QLC but it looks great, is for my case surely overkill but its running on raspberry. And before I start to investigate to cross-compile for raspberry I would like to know if there are options for an API.
