On last weekend I controlled lights, sound/music and video projection in a theater play Un Lloc ComĂș by Joan Yago, performed by the amateur theater company Cercle Teatre.
My setup:
  • Vant Moove15 laptop (Intel Core i5-8250u, RAM 16GB, NVMe Kingston A1000 240GB + 1TB HD)
  • Ubuntu 18.04
  • QLC+ 4.12.0 GIT
  • Enttec DMX USB Pro
  • A mix of PC, fresnel and profile conventional lights
  • 25 dimmer channels
  • 2 x NanoKontrol2
  • Behringer U-Control UCA-202 USB Audio interface
  • Jack Audio system with qjackctl and x42-meter
In the workspace for this play on the virtual console I put:
  • 2 frames for the NanoKontrol2 interfaces representing it's buttons, knobs and sliders.
  • 1 cuelist for music in a frame with a slider in submaster mode to control sound volume and a NanoKontrol2 button to advance steps.
  • 1 cuelist for lights controlled with an slider to advancing steps.
  • A frame for audio effects and pre-show music with an slider in submaster mode and some buttons to fire effects or music as desired.
  • I setup some siliders in one of Nanokontrol2 to control some lights in punctual scenes.
While setting up the stage, placing and focusing fixtures I used the webinterface DMX Keypad via wifi from an Android phone and it works very well, and many other QLC+ features like dump to scene, etc.
