How to fade a fixture with multiple colour definitions without colour cycling

Dear Forum,
I've got a specific issue with fixture control that is really bugging me and I can't find a neat solution. I am hoping someone out there has experience of doing this...
I have two Chauvet Beamer 6FX units. These are a multi-function light with 6x RGBW (not LED) spot heads, a strobe and a RG laser. The six heads each have their own colour fader (H1-H6). The value of the fader is split between Red (0-100% - DMX0-65), Green, Blue and finally white. There is also a generic intensity slider.
I am trying to find a way to use create a Virtual Console control with a generic Fade control where, if I am on Green say, it doesn't fade through Red to off. I have played around with LTP/HTP, can/can't fade and a bunch of ideas with chasers but the only way I can see to do it is messy and cumbersome.
I can use the generic fader but this has to be defined for each function - i.e I'd have to do this for Red (65-0), Green (127-66), etc.
Anyone got any ideas?
