I apologize in advance if I couldn't find this already in the forum - Using 4.11.2 on Windows:

Has anyone figured out how to advance through a cue list using a mouse click? My theory here is that a user could step through a show using a handheld remote mouse similar to how a speaker can step through a presentation (death by powerpoint). Thanks for your ideas!

As long as the mouse is placed on the "next" button of the cue list widget it should work. To enlarge the surface for clicking you could use a big button in virtual console and a loopback channel to connect it to the cue list widget.
For the presenter-devices, I don't know how/what they send to the computer but if you are somehow able to catch their signals (in a script or something) you should be able to trigger some actions using MIDI/OSC input...

To cut a long story short: I guess without some extra work it is not possible at the moment.
