Show Editor - A simple way to change intensity or parameters of running functions?

Hello, I'm currently creating some timelined shows with QLC+ and I'm wondering if there's is a simple way to set the intensity of functions that are started from the Show Editor and even other values like the color or timings of a RGB matrix?
For now I just had to copy the RGB matrix for every change I wanted to do, like when I just wanted to dim it's intensity a little bit, but that is on one hand already a little bit tedious and does not seem very effective on the other hand and last but not least messes up the whole project file. I also tried to setup some virtual console that is controlled by the show editor through loopbacks and virtual rgb devices for example, this kind of works but is even more tedious to setup especially turns into a nightmare when I want to extend it, since everything has to be "wired" again.
Is there any good solution I did not came across so far? Or any suggestion for workflows that work better?
